Types of Skips

E.A. Barnes offers skips ranging from one and a half cubic yards to 30 cubic yards in size. For an idea of the size of these skips look at the spade to the side of each skip. Before ordering a skip please refer to our notices about skips for our basic guidelines.

Mini Skips


These skips are the smallest we offer and hold a capacity of one-and-a-half cubic yards and are ideal for small amounts of waste or where the access is narrow.

Midi Skips


The midi skip holds 3 cubic yards of waste and can hold up to two tonnes of weight. These skips are popular for domestic waste as they are delivered in a narrow lorry so they can access lots of areas.

Large Skips


These skips are 7 cubic yards in size. They are also available with a drop down door or with lockable lids for easy loading and security. Please request these on ordering if required. These are the most popular type of skip as they can hold 7-8 tonnes in weight.

Extra Large Skips


These skips are 12 cubic yards in size. Three of the sides are 6ft high with one low end. These skips are ideal for light/bulky waste, however care must be taken not to overload as the max weight is 7 tonnes.

Roll on off skips


These skips range from 15-35 yards in size. These skips are ideal for light/bulky waste, however care must be taken not to overload as the max weight is 15-16 tonnes.
